Intensive Russian Strikes Eliminate Electricity Across Kyiv

Power facilities targeted in the region
The country's power facilities have come under increased strikes in the past few days

During the night, Russian aerial assaults have resulted in power cuts in multiple districts of Ukraine's capital, the Ukrainian capital.

Nine people were wounded while local people in eastern neighborhoods were plunged into darkness and encountered disruption to water systems, as stated by municipal leaders.

At the same time, a minor was fatally injured in a separate assault in the Zaporizhzhia area in the country's south-east, based on information from local officials.

Moscow has intensified strikes on power infrastructure over the past few days, while officials has called for "concrete actions" from allies to apply pressure on Russia.

"What's needed is not window dressing but strong steps - from the United States, Europe and the G7 - in supplying air defence systems and applying restrictions," he wrote in a social media post.

Officials stated that hundreds of unmanned aircraft and over thirty missiles struck Ukraine's energy infrastructure, labeling such assaults as "cynical and calculated" and against "critical infrastructure" as the weather cools.

Energy officials said Moscow was "inflicting a massive strike" and maintenance teams were working to repair systems.

A series of attacks hit power facilities and apartment buildings in Kyiv.

Several of the people wounded in the strikes on the capital have been transported for medical care, as confirmed by municipal representatives.

Local officials said the city endured significant strikes throughout the evening. A young boy lost their life and three other people were injured.

The strikes succeed periods of aerial attacks in the territory, sections of which are occupied by invading troops.

The entire country is under warning for sophisticated projectile assaults, which are tougher to detect.

Authorities told reporters that Russia was purposely seeking to destroy the electrical infrastructure, with strikes already affecting energy systems.

Authorities confirmed energy workers and government agencies were bracing for more assaults.
