Anthony Joshua prepares to battle the American YouTuber in an eight-round match which will be broadcast live on the streaming platform.
British boxer Anthony Joshua said he will "dominate completely" Jake Paul and "defeat" his opponent as the pair met personally to promote next month's heavyweight fight.
Ex two time world title holder Joshua battles YouTuber-turned-boxer Paul - in what is, by the numbers, a massive mismatch - at Miami arena on December 19th.
Boxer's Attitude
"I plan to injure his face and hurt his body. I aim to demonstrate my superiority," Joshua, 35 years old, stated.
"I'll stamp all over him. That's a fighter's mentality.
"I intend to really want to hurt him. That's what I want to do."
Civil Interaction
Despite those words, a calm Anthony Joshua and internet personality Jake Paul - usually recognized for his showmanship - shared friendly words and kept it respectful with each other.
Paul instead targeted former Joshua's rival Francis Ngannou and called him "a joke" after the Cameroonian turned down a fight offer.
Targeting Tyson Fury
Joshua, meanwhile, took aim at UK rival Tyson Fury - and refused a £1m bet 'The Gypsy King' says he will place on a Paul victory.
"Jake Paul outshines Fury - he's present here," the boxer said.
"I respect him for that."
Legitimate Fighter
Despite stating he plans to punish Paul, Anthony Joshua refused to comment unfavorably about his opponent's boxing ability.
"Jake is a credible opponent," he said.
Paul's Background
Paul - who initially became famous on the Disney Channel - has primarily boxed mixed martial artists or faded names since turning professional.
He lost to British fighter Tommy Fury in last year.
Financial Attraction
However, the novice continues to be one of the sport's largest money-making draws, consistently making massive paydays.
Prediction and Belief
The 28-year-old anticipated a stoppage in the fourth or fifth round and asserted he would derail the highly-expected match between Joshua and Fury, which is reportedly under discussion for 2026.
"It will be me versus Tyson Fury next year," Jake Paul said.
Size Difference
As the two fighters engaged in the usual stare-down, with their height and weight contrast clearly visible, it drove home just how surprising this entire matchup is - and how astonishing it is that the fight is actually happening.
